Xiaomi boss Lei Jun reconfirms the launch event in Shenzhen by the end of May

The Chinese giant Xiaomi recently confirmed the launch event in China. Later on the company CEO, Lei Jun confirmed the event will be huge as they are planning to launch a number of new products but the exact date of the event remains in dark. A few days ago we have reports that Xiaomi's event will be held on May 31st. Today the Xiaomi CEO once again officially confirmed the launch event scheduled by the end of this month will be held in Shenzhen. Surprisingly he didn't reveal the exact date of the event. From the look of the things the company most likely will schedule this event on May 31st.

The Xiaomi Shenzhen event tickets are recently sold in China and the leaked screenshot suggests the event will be on May 31st. The tickets were sold between 799 Yuan and 1,999 Yuan. All tickets are completely sold and as per reports around 5,000 people will be attending this event.

The Shenzhen event is expected to be one of the biggest events from Xiaomi where the company is expected to launch new smartphones, new fitness products and much more. The company will also mark their 8th anniversary at the event. Although it is still in dark which products Xiaomi will be announced at the event, from what we know so far the company will launch next flagship as Mi 8 to commemorate their 8th anniversary. However, we also have reports Xiaomi will launch flagship as Mi 7 and a special edition smartphone Mi 8. In fitness category, the company will announce Mi Band 3. Last year Mi Max 2 was announced in May, So chances are high we can expect its successor Mi Max 3 at the event.

As per latest reports, the Mi 7 will be featuring a 5.65-inches display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The Qualcomm's Octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC will be powering the device with up to 8GB RAM. The rear side will have dual 16MP sensors. A 4,000mAH battery cell is on board to keep the device lights on. As the launch event is still few good days away, we can expect more details in coming days, So stay tuned.
