Back in September this year, Apple took the stage to announce three new iPhones. As expected the company brought the successor model of iPhone X as well alongside the regular iterative models. If you are an Apple fan and not satisfied with the latest iPhones announcement, the company is getting ready to announce new hardware products on October 30th. The company already rolled out invites for another hardware announcement event on 30th of this month.
The upcoming event will be the fourth major event from Apple this year. The first two events were held in the first half of the year whereas the other two held in Autumn season.
In May this year Apple unveiled new iPads, later on in June Apple held the Worldwide developer's conference, the new iPhones were announced recently. Despite the fact so far Apple announced a number of new products still they have hardware products to lure customers. Like always we gather all the info we know so far regarding what Apple is cooking inside regarding the next launch event. The Cupertino giant is expected to announce new iPad, MacBook and a Mac Mini is also on the cards. Without any further delay, let's start with the event schedule and location.
The last major event was held in Apple's headquarter at the Steve Jobs theater but for the iPad event, the company chooses Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York at Howard Gilman Opera House. The event will start at 10 am ET. The invite rolled by Apple confirms the products main focus is to enhance your creativity.
Although Apple didn't officially confirm the live streaming they always live stream events via their official website and also for Apple TV users. So you can expect live streaming of this event as well.
At the moment the current gen MacBook Air is the oldest machine amongst all MacBooks so the chances are high the company will bring updated MacBook Air. The current gen MacBook 12 is the currently the entry-level MacBook from Apple whereas the MacBook Pro falls in the premium segment. Still, both are way more expensive for those who are looking for budget-friendly MacBook. To cater those customers Apple needs to bring updated MacBook Air.
The current gen MacBook Air has outdated design and hardware that's why it isn't the perfect option to compete against the latest laptops in the market. The MacBook Air key selling aspect was being the thinnest and smallest MacBook but now the latest MacBooks are slimmest with a better design.
The updated MacBook Air will have latest 8th gen processor, new design with trimmed bezels, slightly larger display with better screen resolution and new options for connectivity like USB-C ports. One of the key selling aspects of MacBook Air was its affordable pricing, we can expect the company will retain pricing around $1000 for the new MacBook Air.
The Apple Pencil successor is due for quite some time now, as per the latest rumors the company could announce the next gen of Pencil AKA Pencil 2 at the event. Apple is already highlighting the event as it will bring products to enhance productivity so you can expect Pencil 2 with compatibility to support other devices, a new digital erase feature is also in rumors.
Last year Apple introduced bezel-less notch design with the 10th anniversary iPhone X. The device was so successful that it prompted other OEMs to adopt this design. Apple adopted a similar design for all three iPhones this year, So the chances are high the company will upgrade the design language of iPad Pro this year.
Apart from regular hardware upgrade, the new iPad Pro is expected to bring trimmed bezels. The removal of bezels also means the company will ditch the physical home button. The company could adopt the design language which they introduced with the latest iPad 9.7.
If the iPad Pro doesn't have the home button it will have Face ID as the only biometric option. As per the latest rumors, this feature will only efficiently in both portrait and landscape modes. This will help users to unlock iPads efficiently even when it is attached to the keyboard.
As expected mostly rumors related to iPads are focused on iPad Pro. However from the look of the things the iPad Mini new model is also expected alongside the Pro model. Recently the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed Apple will refresh iPad Mini with updated hardware, cheaper display panel. Although he didn't confirm the arrival the chances are quite high the company will use the stage to showcase the latest iPad Mini.
The company could delay its announcement until next year but considering the iPad Pro announcement, it makes sense to launch the Mini model as well.
The last Mac Mini was announced back in 2014 and since then the Cupertino giant yet to release an upgraded model. The Mini model of Mac upgrade is due for a long time. The updated Mac Mini could have the latest hardware, new ports for connectivity, SSD storage instead of conventional hard drives. It is still not confirmed that's why we will recommend taking Mac Mini with a pinch of salt.
The first gen of Airpod was quite successful and despite the fact, the first gen isn't out for quite some time but the company is planning to bring the second gen of AirPod to further strengthen the success. As per rumors the AirPod 2 will bring few extra goodies like water and dust resistance, noise canceling and accessing Siri without touching it physically. Once again it is not confirmed whether AirPod 2 will go official at the event or it will be delayed till H1 2019.
Last but not the least the company introduced AirPower last year alongside the iPhones announcement. It was Apple's wireless charging solution which was capable to charge other devices as well. At that time it was rumored the company could bring wireless charging capabilities to next-gen Apple Watch as well.
However, since then the company never mentioned its release. We heard rumors that Apple is facing heat issues but it is still not confirmed whether Apple was able to resolve the heat issues or not. After resolving the issues the company could finally release the AirPower. Once again Kuo recently claimed the Airpower is still in works and the company could release it in Q4 of this year on the first quarter of the next year.
In the end, we would like to hear our readers thoughts regarding Apple's upcoming event. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
