Xiaomi did not launch anything at the CES 2019 event earlier this month, but now the company has announced an event at MWC 2019 on February 24th next month. The company has not revealed what it plans to unveil at the event It did not say what it will unveil the event, but we can expect the Mi MIX 3 5G will make an appearance which was teased in October last year. A 5G version of the Mi Mix 3 is also expected to launch in Q1 2019.
The 5G version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem. Qualcomm has stated that CES 2019 event that its 5G modem will power more than 30 devices in 2019. The smartphone is expected to come with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4% and will come with 10GB of RAM paired with 256GB internal storage.
South Korean giant Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S10 X 5G ahead of MWC 2019 at its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 20th. Reports suggest that a number of leading smartphone vendors will be unveiling their 5G devices at MWC 2019 event next month.
Xiaomi will also demo its next-generation in-display fingerprint scanner at the event on 24th February along with its latest products including the latest Redmi Note 7. We should know more about the products expected to be showcased at the event in the coming weeks. Till then, stay tuned.
