19 February 2019 3

Smartphone maker HOMTOM is coming to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona this year and is planning to announce two new smartphones- the HOMTOM P1 and S88 smartphones there.

HOMTOM has revealed that its P1 will have an HD (1280 x 720) LED DLP projector, which is embedded with OSRAM illumination and Texas Instruments DLP. It has a 150-lumen pico projector, so with the Homtom P1, you can actually have a portable projector with you at all times. The phone will have a 5,500mAh battery and will come with the ability to charge other devices as well.

The HOMTOM S88 is an interesting device with a hole-punch display and it will be made out of metal and glass, the company has also shared an image of the device and we can see the hole at the top of the display and rounded corners. The device will be available in both Blue and Red colour variants. The device is likely to have “chin” below the display. HOMTOM S88 will have a rear fingerprint scanner along with a vertically-aligned dual camera setup, and an LED flash.

HOMTOM has not shared the specs of the upcoming S88 smartphone and stated that everything will be revealed in Barcelona. The company will be at MWC 2019 from February 25 to February 28. The company is likely to launch some other devices at the event as well.

With the MWC 2019 event just days away, we will soon know what the company has in store for us. So, stay tuned.
