Samsung Galaxy Fold, the most ambitious project from the South Korean company off late, has hit more roadblocks. After the recent delay in the Galaxy Fold’s China launch, the company has postponed the launch in Singapore and Spain. Both the launch events were scheduled for April 26th.
However, the company has not announced any change in the schedule of the United States launch which is scheduled for April 26th. “In light of the recent feedback on a limited number of Galaxy Fold media review units, Samsung is taking the time to ensure that the Galaxy Fold units are in optimum shape for your experience at the event,” a Samsung spokesperson told Channel News Asia
While it is great that the company has accepted the feedback received from a handful of tech media globally, it may end up rescheduling all the global launch events and work towards sorting out last minute issues in the device. In the meanwhile, let us wait for the United States launch.

Samsung has reportedly cancelled its Galaxy Fold launch event in China. The event cancellation is due to a last-minute issue with the venue, according to people familiar with the matter. The smartphone has been under heavy fire all week, as a number of units broke in reviewers’ hands in just a day.
When the first reports of Samsung’s Galaxy Fold breaking surfaced the company was quick to issue a statement confirming that it would not delay the Galaxy Fold’s launch event in the United States. The reports had stated that for the most part, the problems were due to sheer user negligence.
Why the company has postponed the handset’s launch event in China, is still not very clear. Noted tipster Ice Universe has stated that two other local activities of the launch of the device have also been cancelled, which hints that the venue issues are not to be blamed. Samsung could be dealing with a hardware defect, but there are no confirmed reports as yet.
A number of reports of Galaxy Fold devices breaking came after owners tampered with the protective layer on top of the screen. Samsung has warned that tampering with the layer will render the unit unusable. Samsung could have delayed the event to introduce more warnings to stress the importance of the film being left in place, in a bid to prevent the damages that happened in the States.

Those in the know of the events won't be surprised to see the launch getting delayed. And it's good that Samsung's evaluating things.
Yeah, the original launch date was 26 April 2019. But no one now knows the new date.
This isn't definitely what Samsung wanted. I somewhere feel Samsung made some haste while bringing out the Galaxy Fold. Needed some waiting and testing.
