Microsoft has scheduled an event which will be held on October 2, 2019, and it has even started sending out media invites. If you keep tabs on Microsoft, you would know that the event that goes by the name Surface event launches several new products under the Surface brand and this year’s launch isn’t going to be different.
The event invitation simply reads “Save the date” and highlights the outline of the Windows logo in a stylish way. It doesn’t reveal anything except the date of the launch. But there have been speculations around on the plans of Microsoft that what it could bring this year and a year coming next.
It’s expected that Microsoft could come with a new Surface Book, a new Surface Laptop, and a Surface Pro.
Rumor has it that Microsoft could launch an AMD variant of the Laptop 3. The Surface Pro 7 is expected to come with a similar design with updated internals and USB-C in place of the Surface Connect port. The Surface Pro 7 is reportedly codenamed as Excalibur and it comes powered by Snapdragon 8cx processor. No substantial changes in the Book 3 are expected and it may come with subtle changes. We expect processor upgrade which could be Intel’s new 10th generation processors.
It is expected that Microsoft Studio will also get an upgrade and the company may also bring an upgraded Surface Go.
During the company’s Q3 earnings report, Microsoft announced that the Surface revenue had increased and put a solid growth forward. So, Microsoft has high hopes from its Surface line of products and it will continue to make strides.
The launch date is still over a month away from us and we expect to hear more about the products that could launch at the event.
