Polaroid announces camera drones at CES 2017

Polaroid has unveiled a new line of camera drones at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas.

The Polaroid camera drones come with the latest technology including a 6-axis gyroscope flight stabilization system and offer multiple flight speeds for better control. The drones are equipped with automatic controls and headless mode as well as altitude hold that make the camera drones easy to use even for amateurs. The company has unveiled three new models, which have the following key features.

Polaroid PL2500 camera drone

  • Built-in HD 720p camera with Wi-Fi capabilities to live stream video and photo
  • Records video up to 200 feet
  • Three flight speeds with 15 minutes of flight time up to 492 feet
  • Effortless 360° flips
  • Altitude hold and auto return to home features
  • Requires FAA registration

Polaroid PL2300 camera drone

  • Built-in HD 720p gimbal camera with Wi-Fi to live stream video and photo
  • Records video up to 200 feet
  • Three flight speeds with 8 minutes of flight time up to 490 feet
  • Capable of 360° flips
  • Auto return to home feature
  • Requires FAA registration

Polaroid PL1000 camera drone

  • Built-in HD 1080p camera with live stream video capabilities
  • Records video up to 200 feet
  • Three flight speeds with 12 minutes of flight time up to 200 feet
  • Capable of 360° flips
  • Auto return to home feature
  • Requires FAA registration

Apart from this Polaroid has also unveiled a new smartwatch and fitness tracker series as well as a I-1 instant Camera at CES 2017. The Polaroid Camera drones will be available across retail outlets in the US from Spring 2017.

The best thing is that all three cameras are capable of 360-degree flips. So, this should go in good stead with all the potential consumers, especially the producers in the entertainment industry.

Exactly. These kinds of accessories are really vital for these people. And they don't mind spending for such drone cameras to get the best shots for them. Ok, so what I recall from spending is what's the cost these drones? Nothing's mentioned.

The last of the three drone cameras looks the best out of them. The built-in HD 1080p camera len can better pick up pictures even from 200 feet as described above.

It's not like that. Even the other two cameras are equally effective and they too can pick up good pictures. The only difference is that there are 720p resolution on the first two and a better 1080p on the last one.
