    AI is pretty much smarter in the first place. And this development is s like having a mod to pep up the performance.

    Having own chips will give FB the leverage of developing the chips as per their liking. They know how want it and how to use. Better to have an in-house development.

    That's right. Instead of outsourcing or purchasing, having an in-house system is always a plus. Facebook is taking the right steps, though, it can be a bit time-consuming.
