The new 21:9 aspect ratio by Sony is so easily noticeable as soon as you see the very first set of the image. Still, need to hear about it more.

When the 4K TVs came out, there wasn't sufficient 4K content. Now that there are 8K TVs, there's still not sufficient 8K content. How about the new 21:9 ratio then? Apps will need to be optimized for that ratio?

One example is the 21:9 display being optimized for watching video. Which means, there's something more to the aspect ratio than just introducing it for the sake of being different.

Galaxy S10 Plus comes with 6.4-inches, while the Xperia 1 has 6.5-inches. Almost similar. Then what makes the Sony phone taller

This actually now confuses me more The display of the Galaxy S10 is certainly of top notch quality. But now Sony is also there to fight the leading phone maker strongly.
