    Yes. The Play Store policies have also been updated to make sure the apps ask for the correct permissions and if they are related to kids in any way. The developers have to mention it.

    There do happen to be app/extensions that ask for certain permissions even if they aren't needed indeed. Hope to see Google working better towards these things.
