    The first thing that comes to mind after reading the title, or at least which struck me, is that the iPhones should be substantially cheaper if all things fall in place.

    This will be for the Indian market, though. After all, importing the phones into India and then selling them here increases its costs naturally. So, making phones there should be helpful.

    The visit of Tim Cook in India was probably for this very purpose. Apple needs permission from the Indian government for starting a plant. I think this'd be great as it would increase some employment chances too.
