Bluehole and Microsoft have now announced the arrival of PlayerUnknown's Battleground (PUBG) stable version, version 1.0, on Xbox One. It means the hugely popular battle royale game has finally exited the Xbox Game Preview phase. It was available for Xbox users under this phase for about a year now.
With PUBG v1.0 for Xbox One, there are a number of optimization improvements and more quality of life gaming experience. These are under the hood changes but even on the foreground front, the latest version brings a lot of new features and changes. This includes a new 4km x 4km map called Sanhok which makes it one-fourth of the size of existing maps Miramar and Erangel. It is a small map aimed at those who might be looking for a quick gameplay as a single game on other two maps can easily last for about 20 minutes or more.
Since it is a different map than the existing ones, Bluehole has made some relevant changes to ensure that the gameplay continues to be fun and engaging. These changes include dynamic weather change, smaller and short-lasting Red zone, and Blue zone with shorter waiting time but longer travel time. While waiting for the game to start, every player will receive 20 apples which can be thrown around even on other players.
Welcome to Sanhok, @Xbox.
