Amazon started rolling out its Prime Video service to Apple TV users earlier this month which eventually went on to set an all-time record for an app on tvOS. Google, on the other hand, has released its YouTube TV app for Android TV, NVIDIA Shield TV, Samsung & LG Smart TVs, expanding its TV streaming service to over 84 cities across the world.
From what we could grasp from the latest news, Apple TV users will have to wait until at least the first quarter of 2018 to watch content on Google’s YouTube TV. Google is also delaying the release of its TV streaming service to Roku devices though we did witness an early app towards the same.
Google announced its standalone TV streaming service at the start of this year allowing users to watch broadcast and cable television programming right through their mobile devices. The service came equipped with content from over 40 channels including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN providing live TV streaming facility to users.

If Google's going to release the YouTube TV app "only" on Apple TV, I'll say they are expanding slowly.
Hmm... It's a good standalone service and is pretty new. Seems like Google really wants to take time before they make this available to more regions. Started just this year.
Many times services are launched locally for an year or so period and then they are expanded. Think it like a beta program so far.
