UPDATE (September 14th, 2018):
Google has released one more teaser to create the hype around the October 9 launch event. This new teaser is available on a dedicated Japanese website which shows an outline of a smartphone along with the text "Coming Soon". The outline shows a bezel-less and notch-less smartphone which might be what the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL look like. It is an interactive teaser page which changes color when you tap on the mobile.

Google has now listed a dedicated Pixel 3 sign-up page on its hardware store website. The page has a big "3" shown on the left side along with a message "Get the Scoop". It is followed by a sign-up button where anyone can enter his/her e-mail address to receive alerts and updates from Google reading the upcoming smartphones.
This new page has been set up exactly one week after Pixel 3 launch event media invites were sent out. The event has been scheduled for October 9th in New York. This is the first time we will see a Pixel event happening in New York as the previous two were held in San Francisco. While the first two events were held on October 4th, this year's event has been extended by five days.
As usual, Google is being quiet about what it has in store for us but thanks to the rumor mill, we do have some idea about what to expect. It will be announcing two smartphones named Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL which will be succeeding current Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL respectively. Both of these will offer Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with up to 4GB of RAM. It is expected to offer dual selfie cameras and continue with the single rear camera offering.
A big chunk of rumors and leaks has pointed towards a Pixel 3 XL with notched display and bezel-less design. But in past couple of weeks, we have heard speculations about a notch-less Pixel device as well. It is definitely confusing at the moment but we are just a little over a couple of weeks away from the event where all these things should get clear.
