Google takes on Cupertino tech giant Apple with the launch of Pixel tablet that offers a stunning experience for the content consumers and also offers a proud moment for the content creators coming up with stunning content even in 8k. Google Pixel Slate is a tablet running on Chrome OS and offers a detachable keyboard (just as it was rumored earlier), a trackpad similar to that on tablets. The device offers extremely conformable design curves that feel the best while holding in the hands.
While the keyboard is on, the device gives a similar experience as of the laptop, thus taking the goodies from both the laptop and the tablet world. Having an amazing center of gravity, Google Pixel Slate feels quite comfortable. Google Slate offers speakers on the front side of the device so that the user gets an amazing experience when the audio is coming directly at them instead of going backward faced speakers. Pixel Slate offers an amazing photography experience with 8MP camera on the front side (for selfies) with a wide-angle lens, as well as an 8MP on the rear side.
The combination of ChromeOS together with stunning design offers the strong product in the category taking on the rival elegantly. Taking the power of Google Assistant within the ChromeOS, Pixel Slate is one of the most useful devices in its category for sure. The device offers 10 hours of battery time offering highest quality display, full keyboard with circular keys, a dedicated key for Google Assistant. The device would super seed the last year's Google Pixelbook laptop.
What's even more interesting is how Google has updated the ChromeOS for the PIxel Slate to make it adjust to the tablet like dimensions, along with popualr apps placed at the bottom of the device similar to how it's done on the Apple iPad.
The device would be available on all the major retailers in the US, Canada, and the UK along with the Google store for $599, while the keyboard its self would be offered for $199, likewise, the pen would be available for $99.
