Google's Pixel 3 ad is full of celebrities talking about features [video]

19 October 2018 3

Google's current-generation flagships Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were made official earlier this month and are finally available for purchase via online as well as offline channels. As a result, Google has kicked off its marketing activities to promote the two smartphones by releasing the first Pixel 3 ad on YouTube.

This particular ad has been titled "Unboxing the Google Pixel 3 with Stars" which is an apt name considering that it is full of celebrities. It stars the celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, Music producer Marshmello, YouTubers Eva Gutowski (from MyLifeAsEva) and Joey Graceffa, and Riverdale show actress Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl Blossom).

As you would expect, the ad shows these celebrities talking about different Pixel 3 features. The major focus is obviously on the cameras as they are one of the best things about these flagships. There is a particular mention of the 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle front camera and Group Selfie Cam feature. It further talks about the fast charging on the phone which is capable of offering 7 hours of battery backup with only 15 minutes of charging.

Since Google has been making active developments to the Google Lens functionality, there is a mention of the same too. It shows Ramsay making use of the feature to know about plants by simply pointing the phone's camera at them. To wrap up, the ad also mentions the front-facing stereo speakers.
