Google Pixel 3 smartphones remain specific to Verizon carrier while it won’t be available through any other carrier if you happen to have expected that earlier. This means that buying Pixel 3 through Verizon would make you use it only through its SIM and its supposed to not work on any other SIMs later as well though it seems that a trick is working in favor of those who aim to unlock it later for other carriers.
While Verizon locks its phone to avoid smartphone thieves to grab phones from their stores and sell them as unlocked ones, this helps the company attract more people to their telecom carrier network, boosting the business overall. Though a trick to get out of the Verizon net is to simply use a Verizon SIM on Pixel 3 (or any other Verizon bound phone). The company would activate the phone for Verizon shortly though if you get to wait about 24 hours, surprisingly, your phone would be unlocked for all the carrier SIMS, making it ‘unlocked’ apparently.
An alternative way if you happen to buy an unlocked phone is through Google directly for it’s full retail price. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments section below.
