Google Pixel 3 Lite, Pixel 3 XL Lite model numbers leak; India launch soon

06 February 2019 2

It has been a long time since we first started to hear about rumors about an affordable Pixel 3 variants. These are said to be called Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite with a new report or leak emerging every now and then. In the same way, here is a new MySmartPrice report claiming to have obtained model number details for both smartphones.

The report mentions that Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite will bear the model number G020B and G020F respectively. Both these phones are said to be under the manufacturing process at a Foxconn facility. These phones will be sporting a plastic build instead of the premium glass and metal offering on the Pixel 3 flagships. This is understandable considering these will be priced way lower than flagships.

It is further claimed that Google is all set to launch both Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite in India soon. There is no specific timeline for the launch but it is expected to happen sooner than later. The pricing details are also scarce but none of the two phones is said to cost over INR 40,000 (about $560) in India.

If we go by previous rumors, the two phones are internally referred to as Bonito and Sargo. These are claimed to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 and Snapdragon 710 processors respectively. Most of the reports claim that there will only be 4GB RAM on both variants but there are also speculations of Pixel 3 XL Lite offering a 6GB RAM variant.

$550 or around is a price bracket that many potential buyers will be happy with. 40,000 is much affordable than going for a full-fledged costlier Pixel phone.
