Google hiring talent to build its very own wearable products

09 February 2019 3

While there are a growing number of wearable products being manufactured by different tech manufacturers out there, it seems that Google its self is planning to dive into manufacturing the same. Earlier, Google posted various job openings to back up its move and acquired people for R&D and also in the field of intellectual property.

Google is looking for Vice President of Hardware Engineering for Wearables which clearly suggests the way forward into wearable products market. The job description shares the following,

“As the VP of Hardware Engineering for Wearables, you’ll work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership team for Google Hardware and will be responsible for the design, development, and shipment of all Google’s Wearable products. You will lead and enable the effectiveness of a large engineering organization primarily based in Mountain View to develop multiple next-generation wearable products simultaneously.”

Google previously dived into smartphone manufacturing in the shape of a Pixel phone and also another wearable product came in the shape of Pixel Buds. What could be next? A Pixel Watch? Who knows, though this move from the mountain view tech giant surely hints towards Google-branded wearable product coming ahead.
