Google continues to improve Chrome browser, giving it a solid lead compared to the competitors. While Chrome has quite low competition in the web browser market with Mozilla Firefox being practically the only major competitor though interestingly, things are gradually changing in favor of Google in this regard as well.
As per the statistics provided by NetMarketShare, Google Chrome is improving in market share and grew considerably in contrast to Firefox in May, increasing the gap between two browsers. Chrome’s market share improved from 65.64 percent in April to 67.90 percent in May which is the highest market Google Chrome managed in 2019.
As a result of this, all major web browsers that we know of a decline in market share during May knowing how Google Chrome is increasing its dominance globally. Firefox declined in market share from 10.23 percent to 9.46 percent whereas Internet Explorer 11 dropped from 7.49 percent to 6.71 percent considering it no longer receives new features and just the security updates, people begin drifting away from it.
Microsoft Edge (non-Chromium version) declined from 5.53 percent to 5.36 percent in May despite Windows 10 is growing in market share. Which web browser do you prefer? Share your experience in the comment section below.
