Google's upcoming Pixel 4 lineup has been leaking for quite long but last week was probably the worst for the company. We came across three Pixel 4 XL hands-on videos coming from Vietnam, the country where these flagships are reportedly being manufactured. These leaks showed the phone in all its glory but that's not it, there is a new leak featuring a complete Pixel 4 XL hands-on images gallery.
These leaked images are coming from a Vietnamese online shopping store called D Store which shared them exclusively with The Verge folks. There are a total of 21 hands-on images revealing Pixel 4 XL from all possible angles and thus giving a good look at the design. It also shows the camera application interface, settings design, about section of the device, and hardware/specs info with the help of a third-party app.
The source mentioned that the unit shown in the images is not a final product and is more like a test model. It did not offer details regarding how it managed to get its hands on the unit but clarified that this is indeed a genuine unit. You can check out some of the Pixel 4 XL hands-on images leak below and if you are already following the leaks, there is nothing new or unique to talk about. This leak simply corroborates whatever we have heard in recent times.
Additionally, alleged Pixel 4 XL 5G has been spotted on the Geekbench smartphone benchmarking website. We are saying "alleged" because Geekbench listings can be manipulated to show desired information which is something that has been seen in the past. Nevertheless, the listing refers to the device name as Pixel 4 XL 5G which is as clear as it can get.
It shows that the Pixel 4 XL 5G is running Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (SM8150) coupled with 8GB of RAM. There have been various reports claiming that the standard Pixel 4 XL will have 6GB of RAM. It means we can expect to see the 8GB RAM option with the standard model as well. This also means that it will be the first time we will see a Pixel phone with 8GB RAM.
As for the 5G model, it is not surprising to see one as different major Android OEMs have already released their respective 5G Android flagships. Some of these include the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note 10 5G, Galaxy Fold 5G, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, and Huawei Mate 20 X 5G. Even though Apple's new iPhone 11 lineup does not come with 5G network support, it is a different story and situation for Apple as compared to Google.
