Another report on Pixel Watch finally launching next week is a glimmer of hope

LG Watch Sport for reference only

Only a few days are left for Google’s hardware launch event to happen but the leaks don’t know when to stop. With truckloads of Pixel 4 leaks and rumors, we also got to know what other products Google may launch at its October 15 event. It’s the hardware show, so expect to see some upgrades over its existing products and some new ones, including the long-speculated Pixel Watch.

The Pixel Watch wearable has been into rumors for a long time now and we wait for it every year. Now this year as well, the smartwatch is rumored to launch alongside the new Pixel phones. There isn’t any concreteness in the reports that we have heard so far but hopes are still high.

A new report coming from Nikkie Asia Review is no different and it states the “search giant will unveil two new 4G Pixel smartphones, as expected, and possibly a new smartwatch and notebook too." The report now predicts not one but two Pixel Watch wearables and both 4G-enabled.

We do hope the new Pixel Watch to come but considering the older reports which stated a similar possibility and turned out to be false, we can’t be sure about it.

A report from Business Insider later revealed that Google was ready to launch the Pixel Watch alongside the first Pixel phone back in 2016 but was pulled at the last minute. The report even stated that the smartwatch didn’t live up the premium standard Google was aiming for, so the company re-packaged and re-branded as the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style.

We want to believe that this time the launch of the Pixel Watch will happen as Google may have come up with better things that match the standard it desired for.

There’s no concreteness to this report, so don’t bind any hopes to it. Let’s wait for the event and everything will be revealed.
