UPDATE (January 8th, 2020):
It is time for Pixel 4a case renders that offer an idea of what the design might look like. It resembles the design we reported in the original article. You can see that the smartphone is shown with a square-shaped camera module but with only a single camera sensor and LED flash. The case has a cut-out in the center for fingerprint scanner suggesting that it will have the traditional fingerprint scanner.

Google Pixel 4a unofficial renders have surfaced that suggest the device is apparently in the launch pipeline. Thanks to ever-reliable @OnLeaks together with 91Mobiles, we are seeing what could possibly be coming with the Pixel 4a. The tipster has shared 5K renders and a 360-degree video that show the Pixel 4a from every angle.
You would see, the alleged Pixel 4a is going to be the first in the Pixel lineup to feature a punch-hole display, thought the bezels around the screen are significantly thick. The arrangement carries a single camera and on the back as well, the device has a single rear camera and there is a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. According to the information provided to the tech site, the display is flat and will measure a 5.7-inch or 5.8-inch size, a slight increase over the 5.6-inch screen of the Pixel 3a.
It seems impossible that the handset will support Project Soli-based Motion Sense tech for gesture control since it is one of the premium features that the Pixel 4 lineup features. However, expect some other goodies to be inherited by the Pixel 4a. For instance, you could expect to see a 90Hz refresh rate on the display for a smoother experience. Also, it is quite visible, the Pixel 4a is also featuring the single tone back just like the Pixel 4 lineup.
Looking at the renders, it appears, the Pixel 4a has a matte finish and a protruding camera hump. The camera cutout on the back is even similar to the Pixel 4, though the Pixel 4a would carry on a single camera. The back also features the physical fingerprint sensor and a big ‘G’ logo.
On the right edge are the volume rocker and an orange-colored Power button while the left edge is just plain as it houses nothing. The USB Type-C port and speaker grilles are positioned around the 3.5mm audio jack. Overall, the design shows Pixel 4a will be smaller in size thanks to the narrower bezels relative to Pixel 3a. The device is said to measure 144.2x69.5x8.2mm in size.
The specifications of the Pixel 4a are unknown, but it is suspected the device could come powered by Snapdragon 730 or 765 series. It may only feature a 12.2MP camera on the back and this is obvious, there will be no telephoto lens.
Expect the Pixel 4a series to go official in May at the Google I/O conference at 2020 as Pixel 3a also launched in May this year.
