Lenovo's IdeaPad Duet Chromebook goes on sale for $279

12 May 2020 0

Google has officially listed Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook available for purchase in the United States. The 2-in-1 convertible will be sold via Best Buy for a starting price of $279. There is one more variant that costs $299 and offers double the internal storage i.e. 128GB.

The Lenovo Duet Chromebook was originally showcased at CES 2020. It is a device that is meant to be used like any other Chrome OS notebook but can also be used as a tablet. It sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (1900 x 1200 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by the 2GHz MediaTek Helio P60T processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The storage options include 64GB and 128GB.

The camera department includes a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The exact battery capacity is unknown but it is claimed to last for up to 10 hours on a single charge. It comes with a detachable keyboard (full-size with a touchpad) that connects to the Chromebook magnetically.

It should be noted that the Duet Chromebook is not supposed to be a powerhouse. It is a mid-range device with specs good enough for some on-the-go productivity and entertainment. If you are looking for a Chromebook device that can be your main workstation, then it's better you look at the other options available in the market.
