Qualcomm confirms upcoming phones coming with Snapdragon 865 SoC

Qualcomm in a press release has announced the name of the OEMs which will use its Snapdragon 865 Mobile platform in the next wave of flagship devices. We have already seen a few becoming the first to employ the new SoC, including the Galaxy S20 series, Xiaomi Mi 10 series, and the very recent Sony Xperia 1 II. And, now the next wave of flagship phone has just been announced by Qualcomm itself.

The list of smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC also includes the phones which are already announced. It is interesting to note some never speculated phones too, including the ASUS Zenfone 7. Some of them are already in leaks and some have been confirmed by their manufacturers as well, and it’s good to see them in one place as it shows so many phones are using Qualcomm’s new product.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor uses the second-generation 5G Modem-RF System, called the Snapdragon X55. It has a new ISP that operates at 2Gbps. It is also capable of support up to 200MP camera sensors, shooting at 8K videos, and captures 4k HDR shots. This also allows enabling 720p slow-motion videos at 960fps as well as Dolby Vision HDR videos. It also includes the 5th-gen Qualcomm AI Engine for gaming and intelligent features.
