Apple is certainly planning more products to launch in the latter half of this year and make them available in the first quarter of 2021, well only if all goes well. Some popular analysts believe that Apple is still eyeing at this year’s launch which means every year’s September event may happen as scheduled. However, it is yet to be seen if COVID-19 has any hard impact on Apple.
Now, according to a new claim by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple has a list of new hardware to bring across 2020-2021. He has shared the Apple pipeline which is planned to be packed into 2021.
The Apple pipeline is planned to be packed into 2021. New MBP, new iPad Air and entry iPad, iMac, new Watches, 4+ new iPhones, HomePod mini, AirTags, Apple TV, new AirPods, over ear headphones, in-display TouchID, MiniLED, 5G, ARM Mac transitions... let’s see if Covid has impact.— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) April 19, 2020
According to his tweet, Apple will come with a new MacBook Pro, new iPad Air and an entry-level iPad, iMac, new Watches, new iPhones, HomePod Mini, AirTags, Apple TV, new AirPods – probably AirPods X, high-end over-ear headphones, in-display TouchID, MiniLED, 5G, and ARM Mac transitions. This is a huge list that Apple is still eyeing to launch amid COVID-19 pandemic chaos.
Interestingly, an anonymous Twitter account by the username @L0vetodream had made a mention of some of these products before already. Going by what has later turned out to be true, it appears the tipster has a fairly accurate track record has on sharing the details of some Apple products. This is the same tipster who claimed on March 12 that Apple is developing so-called “AirPods X” headphones and later on the notable leaker Jon Prosser mentioned the same on April 7. Also, it is the same tipster who claimed the new iPhone SE would launch in the second week of April in three storage configurations.
While we aren’t fully relying on what the new tipster is offering, it would be an impertinent act to not give a look at it even. He made a mention of some of the products, including a new iPad air with under-screen Touch ID, an ARM-based 12-inch MacBook way before the claims that have now been made by Mark Gurman.

Interestingly, the list of products that Gurman has posted now, the tipster shared most of them more than a month back. The account claimed that Apple plans to release "third-generation AirPods, refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro and iMac models, a low-cost iPad with an A12 Bionic chip, a smaller HomePod, a new Apple TV, a small wireless charging pad for a single device, and four iPhone 12 models with an A14 chip, 5G support, smaller notch, a ProMotion refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a new Navy Blue color option" – as cited by MacRumors.
In recent weeks, the account has claimed that some products and components have been delayed, including the new iMac models and the A14 chip.
