MediaTek has unveiled two new gaming-centric processorsHelio G35 and Helio G25 for entry-level smartphones. The two chips have a lot in common but they differ in terms of some clock speeds and features support.

Both the MediaTek Helio G35 and the Helio G25 are built on the 12nm process and powered by 8 ARM Cortex-A55 cores, though the clock speed differs here. The Helio G35 processor is clocked at 2.3GHz and the Helio G25 has 2.0GHz clock frequency. Similarly, they both have the same GPU, which is PowerVR GE8320 clocked at 680MHz for the G35 and clock frequency of 650MHz for the Helio G25.

Both the new SoCs feature MediaTek HyperEngine as well which was first introduced with the Helio G90 series. The function of this technology is to make the gaming experience more fluid and responsive. HyperEngine technology also makes sure you get a reliable connection every time. The technology optimizes the connection and makes a smooth switch between WiFi and LTE connections for faster response and lag-free experience.

The Helio G35 and the Helio G25 support different camera configurations but both support multi-camera smartphones. The MediaTek Helio G25 supports dual 13MP+8MP cameras or a single 21MP camera, while the Helio G35 supports dual 13MP+13MP cameras or a single 25MP camera.

Both the chips support 1080p video recording at 30fps. Both the chips bring AI support and popular AI-camera enhancements such as AI beautification, Smart Photo Album, and enhanced precision in bokeh captures. They also include a hardware depth engine for dual-camera bokeh photography. They both also support Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) when capturing videos.

Both the MediaTek Helio G25 and Helio G35 offer dual 4G SIM support with fast and reliable connectivity. Both chips support eMMC 5.1 storage and are compatible with 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and FM Radio.

The MediaTek Helio G35 supports displays with up to FHD+ resolution, while the Helio G25 supports at HD+.

Interestingly, the phones utilizing the new chips have already been launched as well. Recently Redmi 9A launched with Helio G25 SoC and Redmi 9C introduced with Helio G35 processor. There is also one more called Realme C11 that got launched with the Helio G35 processor as well.
