Samsung has unveiled its newest curved gaming monitor named Odyssey Neo G9. It is an upgraded version of the Odyssey G9 from the last year. There are some good noticeable differences that make the new monitor a worthy successor.
The Odyssey Neo G9 is claimed to be the world’s first Mini LED curved gaming monitor with Quantum Matrix technology. It sports a 49-inch Mini-LED curved display with 5120 x 1440 pixels resolution and HDR 2000 rating. It is equivalent to using two Quad HD monitors side-by-side. It is one of the brightest monitors that you will come across as it boasts a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.
The monitor has a 1000R curvature and a 32:9 aspect ratio. There is a 1ms response time, support for up to 240Hz refresh rate, and TUV Rheinland certification. There are features like Adaptive Sync, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for a smooth and immersive gaming experience. It has a glossy white exterior and futuristic rear infinity core lighting system with 52 colors and five lighting effect options.
Samsung says Odyssey Neo G9 curved gaming monitor will go up for preorders starting July 29th. It is priced at $2,499.99 with sales kicking off on August 9th.
