Together with massively upgrading the Surface Pro 8 and bringing slight upgrades to the Surface Go 3, Microsoft also took some time to add a much-needed change to one more 2-in-1 laptop – Surface Pro X. Well, it is neither a new successor nor a hardware upgrade. Microsoft has just brought a new WiFi-only variant of the Surface Pro X, thus making the existing variant with LTE connectivity an option.
Microsoft refreshed its 2019 Surface Pro X by adding an SQ2 processor but the cellular connectivity option remained an issue. The Snapdragon 8cx can support 5G, but the Surface Pro X limits cellular connectivity to 4G LTE.
Now, the Wi-Fi variant is available as well. This also means you can now enjoy faster connectivity.
Also, the variant now comes with Windows 11 out-of-the-box and includes support for 64-bit software emulation. This means app compatibility can be greatly improved. The variant also gets an optimized version of Office.
The rest of the specifications remain the same.
The WiFi-only Surface Pro X model is now available for pre-order and the in-store availability will follow on October 5th.
