03 January 2022 0

Samsung has announced a new gaming monitor named Odyssey Neo G8 ahead of the CES 2022. It is a smaller version of the Odyssey Neo G9 launched a few months ago. The new offering is a 32-inch model as compared to the 49-inch monitor unveiled previously.

The all-new Odyssey Neo G8 bears model number G85NB. The 32-inch Quantum Mini LED panel features 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution with a 1000R curvature. It further has a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time which is something PC gamers will undoubtedly appreciate. It is claimed to be the world's first 4K monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The monitor has Quantum HDR 2000 with a peak brightness of 2000 nits and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. There are two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 port. Both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro adaptive sync technologies are supported and should help players get a smooth gaming experience.

Samsung has added RGB lighting on the monitor's back panel. It can be controlled using the CoreSync feature to match with the content getting displayed.
