HP Sprocket a new pocket-sized printer announced by HP uses ZINK technology

HP has announced a new pocket-sized printer which is easy to carry and you can print photos anywhere. The new printer HP Sprocket does not use any ink but instead works on ZINK Zero Ink technology. The same ZINK technology is also used by another manufacturer as well in their pocket printers. Using the ZINK tech with the HP ZINK photo paper which consists of all the required colors and with the application of heat the colors show up.

The HP Sprocket connects via Bluetooth with smartphones and tablets and users can print directly from there. The printer prints the photos in the size of 2 x 3” which comes with sticky back and can be pasted to the place of your liking. The photos printed by the printer are smudge proof.

There is also an HP Sprocket app available for users on iOS and Android which allows users to customize and edit their photos before printing. While in the editing mode of the app users can add text, change fonts, change the colour of the text. Also, the app allows users to add stickers and apply filters of their choosing to the photos along with adding borders.

The HP Sprocket comes in two different colors one is white with rose gold and the other option is black with silver. The printer is priced at $129.99 and along with it comes 10 HP ZINK Photo Paper. The additional HP ZINK Photo Paper pack cost $9.99 for 20 sheets. The device is charged via micro USB.
