Finally, the wait is over as the Taiwanese giant HTC wraps off the cover from their much-anticipated flagship U12+. This year HTC instead of releasing regular U12 opted for a different route and brought the successor variant of U11+ which was announced back in H2 2017. So we can claim the company brought U11+ successor just after 8 months. Being a direct successor the U12+ shares a lot of aspects with the last year's U11+.
The U11+ was featuring a single camera of 12MP with f/1.7 aperture. For the U12+ HTC opted dual rear cameras placed horizontally in the center. The primary sensor is 12MP with f/1.75 aperture whereas the secondary sensor is a 16MP sensor with f/2.6 aperture. Another upgrade is the inclusion of dual selfie 8MP cameras to provide amazing selfie experience. The U11+ dimensions are 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm and it weighs 188g whereas the U12+ is slightly less tall and wider but thicker at 156.6 x 73.9 x 8.7-9.7mm and weighs exactly same.

The successor of the U11+ has come in only 8 months. Before the end of 12 months.
The HTC U12+ is surely a flagship to look forward to these days, especially from
the HTC camp.
But apart from that the features and specifications at most places are the same.
Why have they toned down the battery from 3,930mAh for the U11+ to 3,500mAh for the U12+?
