The HTC U12+ flagship has a number of competitors in the market. To be honest, every other Android flagship is a director competitor to the device. It is the reason we have already shared a specs comparison of HTC's newest against the likes of OnePlus 6 and iPhone X. But this time around, it is a triple threat match including the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and LG G7 ThinQ as other two competitors.
Each of the HTC U12+, Galaxy S9+, and LG 7 ThinQ feature a bezel-less display which is about the same in size. It is 6-inch, 6.2-inch, and 6.1-inch respectively with 1440 x 2880, 1440 x 2960, and 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution. The three phones also differ in the use of the display panel which is Super LCD6, Super AMOLED, and IPS LCD respectively.
While you will find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor on all three flagships, the Galaxy S9+ also has an Exynos 9810 processor variant which is available everywhere except the United States and China. All three flagships offer 6GB RAM but with LG G7 ThinQ, you can go for 4GB RAM variant too. Similarly, 64GB and 128GB storage option is available with all of them except for 256GB variant which comes with the Galaxy S9+ and is limited only to China.
Since dual rear cameras have become mainstream, each of these flagships has them. The HTC U12+ features 12MP and 16MP sensors, Galaxy S9+ has dual 12MP sensors, and LG G7 ThinQ has dual 16MP sensors. The selfie camera on each of these three devices is an 8MP shooter. Lastly, both HTC and Samsung have packed their flagships with 3500mAh battery and LG has opted for a 3000mAh battery.

That's why the fight it tough between all of them.
Add the OnePlus 6 in this comparison too!
A close look at the 3.5mm headphone jack suggests only the HTC U12+ doesn't have it. So, should that sound better than the other two flagships?
There are very little things to choose between all these three phones. Some features you will find almost identical.
