The device success prompted other OEMs to bring at least one gaming smartphones that's why this year we have Black Shark from Xiaomi, Red Magic from Nubia and recently Asus also unveiled their Rog smartphone. Though the Rog phone was announced in June it is yet not available for purchase.
However, the company confirmed it will be available in India and US this quarter. Recently HTC confirmed they are working on a blockchain smartphone which will be released under the Exodus branding. Today the company confirmed the arrival of the gaming-centric smartphone as well. The gaming phone is confirmed in a press conference held in Taiwan at the launch of U12+ Mayday Edition. The company also stated they will join hands with game developers for the gaming phone.
As the company's plan for the gaming phone is still in the early stage that's why we shouldn't expect the first gaming phone from HTC before 2020. Apart from the gaming phone, the company confirmed to release more smartphones later in Q3 and Q4 2018. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.

HTC is the latest entrant in the list of OEMs to bring out a gaming smartphone. Or at least declare one.
Yeah, they haven't brought out. But just confirmed. But still, the likes of Huawei, Meizu, and OnePlus don't have any such dedicated gaming smartphone yet.
Not even Samsung, which is a prominent brand in the world.
I am curious to see if any upcoming gaming smartphone breaks the 8GB RAM mark.
