HTC’s Mail app which comes bundled with its Phones differentiates it from the competition. The company’s app has seen millions of installs on the Play Store, however, it seems to have disappeared from the Google Play store.
The app was last updated on December 2018 so it’s unlikely that the app has been removed because it was sitting stagnant for years. The HTC Mail app is an email app which supports multiple services, so if a user has a Gmail and a Yahoo email, they can consolidate these accounts under a single app. However, there are a number of such apps, which already support multiple email services, including Gmail which supports non-Gmail accounts, so HTC may have decided to retire the app over maintaining it due to the costs associated with them as well as resources.
However, the sudden disappearance of the Mail app from HTC is pretty surprising. HTC has yet to officially comment on the issue. The app comes pre-installed on the company’s more recent handsets, so HTC users will still be able to access it.
HTC has been facing tough times recently and a number of people have stated that the company may be folding its mobile business. However, the company has denied it until now. The disappearance of the Mail App from the Google play store could also be a strategy by the company as it embraces Android one for future phones.

After searching for "HTC Mail" I'm getting the "HTC Mail Colorize" app as the first result in the search result - both on the web and on Android.
It's not an official one, right? And moreover, it's not the app that's expected. I mean, it's a different one.
Let's assume, HTC has decided to retire the app. But it cannot happen out of the blue. Companies alert the users months in advance, like Google+ did recently.
Yeah exactly. This didn't happen with HTC Mail. Something sounds to be fishy.
