Virtual Reality is expected to be the next big thing in the tech world, companies around the world are putting money and resources to develop the field. As more and more players are joining in the Virtual Reality field, some of these companies have decided to form an association related to VR and help out and collaborate for better and faster development of the technology.

The Global Virtual Reality Association is formed by Samsung, HTC VIVE, Oculus, Acer Starbreeze, and Sony Interactive Entertainment as a non-profit organization. The aim of GVRA is to develop and share best practices for the industry, with responsible development and adoption of VR globally.

The members of the association will develop, share, conduct research and to bring the VR community together as the technology progress further in future. GVRA is also aimed at providing resources to anyone from customers to policymakers, and industry interested in VR.

Virtual Reality has great potential and it is seen as a way for further improving sectors like education and health care, also it is expected to contribute to the global economy as well. With GVRA in place and members working in close collaboration in unlocking and maximizing VR’s potential, the benefits could reach out to the world faster.
