Huawei aims 250 million plus smartphone shipments in 2019

15 April 2019 2

Fast-rising Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is aiming for 250 million smartphone shipments in 2019 where the phone’s sub-brand Honor experienced an impressive 27 percent growth in the declining smartphone market. Last year it was also speculated that Huawei and Xiaomi might see a 20 percent growth in overall shipments in 2019 and it seems that the reports are going in favor of the Chinese brand.

Huawei had an impressive start with its flagship devices Huawei P30 and P30 Pro that the company sold worth of 200 million yuan within just 10 minutes. Likewise, the Mate 20 series has also been shipped over 10 million units within just 4 and a half months of its launch. Huawei shares how Mate 20 series has broken all the previous records set by the P and Mate series considering the same time duration in the Chinese market.

Huawei has set a shipments target of 200 million units in 2019 while 300 million units in 2020 as per the company’s consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong. Are you looking forward to owning a Huawei device this year? Share your views in the comment section below.

The way Huawei has taken off in the last couple of years with the Mate and P series doing exceptionally well, Huaeei's targets look just as practical.
