Huawei is reportedly working on a new Android tablet under the MatePad series. A banner for the alleged Huawei MatePad tablet has been spotted inside a store in China. It shows the tablet's design from the front and the back while also revealing a few of the key specifications.
The banner reveals that the Huawei MediaPad sports a huge 10.4-inch display with 2K resolution and slim bezels. It seems like the company will focus on entertainment, gaming, and media consumption a lot. It will be a 5G compatible tablet that will make it only one of the few 5G Android tablets in the market. It is said to be powered by the Kirin 810 processor.
The camera department is said to include an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. The front camera is also an 8-megapixel sensor that will be helpful for selfies and video calls. Other noteworthy features include USB Type-C port, M-Pen stylus support, and an education center for kids.
It is expected that the Huawei MatePad will run EMUI 10.1 Lite based on Android 10 out of the box. The available color options will be White and Gray. This is pretty much what is known about the tablet for now. The pricing and release date information is currently missing.
