09 September 2020 0

Huawei has unveiled the MatePad T8 as the newest budget Android tablet option in India. It is the same tablet that made its global debut in May in Romania. The tablet has been released in both WiFi-only and LTE options so that buyers can choose their preferred connectivity supported variant.

The Huawei MatePad T8 sports an 8-inch IPS LCD display with 1200 x 800 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it has an octa-core MediaTek MTK8768 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The tablet is available with a single 32GB onboard storage that can be expanded further up to 512GB using microSD cards.

The camera department includes a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The whole package is powered by a 5,100mAh battery that should last for a day with ease. It will ship with EMUI 10.0.1 based on Android 10 on the software front. Other features include a microUSB port, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, and USB OTG.

If interested, MatePad T8 WiFi-only will cost Rs. 9,999 and the 4G LTE variant will cost Rs. 10,999. Both variants are up for pre-orders until September 14th after which normal sales will begin. Huawei is offering a flat Rs. 1,000 discount on the 4G LTE variant during the pre-booking period. The tablet is being sold exclusively via Flipkart.
