Lenovo appears to have some interesting projects under its radar that it may launch in this remaining year. If you follow tech closely, you may know that Lenovo will launch its Legion gaming phone this month. But apparently, this is not the company’s only key product of the year as it is reportedly gearing up to launch a new of a kind Android tablet as well.
The very popular leakster Evan Blass has shared a glimpse of this tablet via his Twitter and some key details have been shared by XDA Developers.
According to XDA, a developer Tillie Kottman (@deletescape) was able to obtain the documents and reveal that Lenovo has one new Android tablet with an interesting concept in the works. According to what has been sourced, the name of this tablet is possibly Yoga X and it would double as a secondary monitor for various devices.
The developer discovered a few internal documents that outline the “second screen UX wireframe” for the Lenovo Yoga X device. The document also includes a few mockups that reflect what the device could look like. One of the images (featured one) has been shared by @evleaks on his Patreon account.
XDA claims that the developer also shared the document with it, revealing the purpose behind the tablet. One of the slides tells how the tablet can be used as a monitor for connected laptops and smartphones, or even a Nintendo Switch. According to the details, users will be able to convert the tablet into a secondary screen with the help of a micro-HDMI cable. Once connected, the tablet will switch to a secondary display mode, “pausing any ongoing audio playback and locking the Android OS behind the user’s PIN/password,” reports XDA.
The spotted document only highlights the function of the tablet and there are other details that have surfaced. So, wait for more information to come.
