Lenovo has presented a slew of its new tablets in the Yoga series at the ongoing MWC 2021 event. These are the new Yoga Tab 13 and Yoga Tab 11 group of tablets.
To start with, we have the Yoga Tab 13 which is actually a rebranded and global version of the Yoga Pad Pro that first went official in China. The global variant runs Android 11 in place of the ZUI found on its alternative counterpart.
The main highlight of the Yoga Tab 13 is that it doubles as a portable monitor so that you can do extra even without using it as a tablet. It can function as an external display for your laptop, thanks to a built-in Micro HDMI port. It features an attached stainless steel kickstand that can rotate 180 degrees from the back of the device. The stand also acts as a hanger in case you want to hang it on the wall during a presentation or so.
The Yoga Tab 13 has a 2K Low-Temperature PolySilicon (LTPS) display, with a 60Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of brightness, 100 percent sRGB color gamut, and Dolby Vision HDR support. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 Mobile Platform and has 8GB LPDDR5 RAM.
It has an 8MP front-facing camera with face unlock support. It gets four JBL speakers, two of which are built into the soundbar cylinder. It gets Dolby Atmos support as well, thanks to a bottom audio chamber, up to 450Hz bass performance. The tablet includes a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter as well.
The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 comes pre-loaded with a host of productivity or entertainment-focused apps – Google Driver, Google Assistant, Kids Space, and YouTube.
Lenovo confirms the Yoga Tab 13 should release in July 2021 for a starting price of $679.99 USD (8GB+128GB base SKU).
The Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 also has a kickstand that doubles as a hanger. It features an 11-inch 2K IPS Touch Display Driver Integration (TDDI). It also gets Dolby Vision and Atmos support. It gets a MediaTek Helio G90T processor and an 8GB LPDDR4 RAM with 256GB onboard storage. It gets 15 hours battery life, USB-C fast charging support, and a face-unlock function. The price of the Yoga Tab 11 starts at $320 and it should arrive in August.
Together with these two Yoga tablets, Lenovo also took the wraps off its new tablets from the Tab series. These are Tab 11 Plus, Tab M7 (3rd gen), and Tab M8 (3rd gen).
Last month, Lenovo unveiled the Tab Pad Plus 11 in the Chinese market with a Snapdragon processor. But the latest Tab P11 Pro for the international market is powered by MediaTek’s flagship G90T processor. Else, it gets an 11-inch OLED display with 2000x1200 pixels resolution, 6GB RAM, 12-hours of stated battery life.
Together with this, Lenovo has refreshed its 2019’s affordable small tablets as well. The Tab M7 2021 is a 7-inch tablet, whereas the M8 2021 gets an 8-inch display. They both run MediaTek processors.
Lenovo Tab M7 gets a 2MP front and back sensor whereas the larger 8-inch model gets the 5MP rear camera. Lenovo promises up to 10 hours of battery life with the Tab M7 tablet.
The 2021 Lenovo Tab M7 is on sale from June 2021, with European pricing of €119. The price of the Tab M8, on the other hand, is not yet disclosed yet by the company. It will come to select markets later this year.
