02 May 2018 5

LG G7 ThinQ wasn’t a real mystery as the company itself shed enough light on the same before officially raising the curtains. But, an official announcement is necessary to collect everything at one place. LG scheduled a separate launch event for its G7 ThinQ in New York where it shared everything about its new flagship launch.

LG G7 is a successor to G6 and it offers a redefined design, a wider screen, and great features. It’s 50% thinner than the G6 which adds more beauty to the device.

The ThinQ adds that Artificial Intelligence essence to the LG G7 cameras. There are two 16MP cameras on the back placed vertically and the secondary is again that wide angle lens. Fitted with AI cam, the device offers 19 shooting modes compared to the 8 modes of V30 S ThinQ. During low-light conditions, the device uses AI Algorithm to combine pixels for better brighter results.

The camera of the LG G7 ThinQ also supports the Live Photo, Stickers, and Portrait Mode. The Stickers feature uses the facial recognition to add 2D and 3D stickers to the subjects.

LG G7 ThinQ has a 6.1-inch FullVision screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display and QHD+ resolution and is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a Super Bright Display technology that allows the LCD panel to achieve a record brightness level with as many as 1,000 nits.

The display features six different colors modes including Expert, Auto, Sports, Eco, Game, and Game. For instance, the Auto mode automatically analyzes the content (photo, video, site) on the screen and tweaks it so that it could consume lesser energy and offer a better screen performance. The user can also adjust the color temperature and the individual RGB levels. The back of the LG G7 ThinQ is made of glass, which means it will support the wireless charging,

LG G7 ThinQ has “New Second Screen,” a setting that allows the users hide that display notch. You can opt a broader look or have a traditional look according to your interest.

The LG G7 ThinQ is IP68 certified which means it resists dust and water so as to offer more rigidness to its users. It also passed 14 tests of MIL-STD 810G.

LG G7 ThinQ is one of the first Android phones to offer a dedicated key for Google Assistant and Google Lens. The latter is available in Google Assistant and Google Photos. A single touch to that key will invoke the Google Assistant, while the double touch will start the Google Lens. The key is placed on the left side below the volume rockers for an easy access.
