Google's latest Android Pie is out for quite some time that's why now everyone is keen to know when they can expect the rollout of the latest update. So far OnePlus and HMD Global emerges as one of the first OEMs to roll out the Android Pie update. Samsung recently announced OneUI based on the Android Pie, the company confirms the update will be rolled out in early 2019.
Recently LG rolled out the latest Android Pie update for their mid-range G7 One. It was announced under Android One program that's why it isn't surprising why it is receiving Android Pie first. From the look of the things, the company is now getting ready to announce the Android Pie update for their latest flagship V40 ThinQ. Today we have a Geekbench listing of V40 ThinQ running on the test build of Android Pie which clearly indicates the update isn't far away.
The V40 ThinQ is LG's latest phablet phone with triple rear cameras. The device is so far released for the US and South Korean customers. As per Geekbench listing the device bearing model number LGE LM-V405 appears on the benchmark with 6GB RAM and Android Pie.
Considering its the test build, we can expect LG will be rolled out the final build pretty soon. Despite the fact, the V40 ThinQ was announced in September but still the device was running on the Android Oreo. LG's track record of rolling updates isn't pretty great that's why back in April this year LG setup a new “Software Center Upgrade”.
The new center was aimed to bring solid software updates after the announcement. Well, it seems like the center yet to work efficiently because none of the LG's flagship received the latest update. The final build of Android Pie was announced almost three months ago. We can expect more details regarding the Pie update roll out for the V40 ThinQ will appear online in coming days. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
