LG 13 Feb
LG’s much-awaited smartphone G8 ThinQ is all set to be announced on the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 and couldn’t have been hearing more about it lately. The company announced how it would be featuring 3D sensing selfie camera, touch-less navigation. The phone has also been leaked in black color just a day before increasing the cravings for the device. The phone is expected to offer dual real cameras, display notch, a fingerprint sensor.
Now in the latest development, LG has officially confirmed that the phone would use its OLED display as an audio amplifier utilizing its Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology. The technology allows using the entire display as a diaphragm making the entire surface to produce sound while in the earphone mode. Though when on the speaker mode, the audio comes from the bottom speakers as usual. The entire display used for this purpose allows for improving sound clarity.
The two-way audio source (from the bottom speaker and the OLED panel its self) would offer much better audio experience. The company has also unveiled ahead of the launch how the phone would offer DTS:X 3D surround sound, Hi-Fi Quad DAC and Master Quality Authenticated (MQA). Likewise, it also offers Boombox Speaker much like the smartphones in the lineup earlier.
