LG V50 ThinQ 5G variant for Sprint leaked in image render

18 February 2019 3

This is the year when we will be seeing select companies releasing 5G capable smartphones and LG is one of those select ones. It confirmed last year that it would be releasing a 5G phone in partnership with Sprint. It is rumored to be the LG V50 ThinQ 5G and now, a new render image leak is showing the phone's design.

A popular tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shared an image render showing the alleged LG V50 ThinQ 5G. The phone's design is similar to last year's LG V40 ThinQ which makes it look like a square-shaped box. The most prominent thing to note here is the 5G branding in Sprint yellow color on the back and a Sprint 5G themed wallpaper. It seems like the Sprint 5G branding will be used heavily for marketing purposes. Other than these, one can see the triple rear camera setup on the back with horizontal alignment. There is a traditional fingerprint scanner followed by the V50ThinQ and LG logos. On the front, one can see the dual selfie camera arrangement.

The rendered image further shows the LG V50 ThinQ showing February 24th date which is the same day when LG has scheduled its MWC 2019 keynote. This is in line with previous speculations of both LG G8 ThinQ and V50 ThinQ getting official at the same event. Even LG has already officially confirmed that it will take wraps off the 5G phone at MWC in Barcelona.

It revealed that the upcoming 5G phone will offer a 4000mAh battery. It will also have vapor cooling to prevent the device from getting heated up during heavy tasks like gaming. This is said to be a better and more efficient method than the heat pipe cooling method used in the previous model.

The LG V50 ThinQ 5G isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
