Android 9.0 Pie update rolling out to LG V35 ThinQ

24 April 2019 3

The smartphone market is a fast-paced industry where Chinese smartphone manufacturer is posing a tough competition to the already established players in the market. Smartphone companies not only are competing in creating new devices with competitive specs and amazing built quality, but they are now also pushing software updates faster than ever before. Though unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case with LG which has always somehow lacked in the software department.

If you happen to own an LG powered smartphone, chances are that you’d still be stuck with Android 8.0 where a lot of smartphones in the market even the mid-ranged one are being upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie. Though this might be changing for LG for the good in few upcoming months. LG has recently announced that Android 9.0 Pie update would be released for smartphones including LG V30, V35, V40 ThinQ which would begin to release from Q2 2019.

LG V35 ThinQ is currently receiving the update in South Korea as per the promise made by the company. While the update isn’t yet out in the majority of the countries including the US, we could wait some weeks for its rollout.
