LG which unveiled the premium Tone Studio wearable at the CES 2017 event in Las Vegas, has started the headsets global rollout. The wearable is now available in the Middle East and will reach the US market by March end. Tone Studio will be launched in Asia and Latin America in April and Europe in May according to a company press release.
South Korean electronic giant LG is a leader in the Bluetooth headset technology and reportedly sold over 20 million LG Tone series of “premium” Bluetooth headsets since 2010. The company’s Tone Studio wearable delivers 3D surround sound on the go.
TONE series of wireless around-the-neck audio products has emerged as one of the favorite consumer listening devices. The LG TONE Studio has a stylish design that delivers immersive high-quality 3D audio sound without isolating the listener from the surrounding environment. The headset comes with four external speakers which deliver incredibly rich surround sound. The device has two full range main speakers below the wearer’s ears and two more speakers underneath that are near the wearer’s collarbone.
LG says that it “worked closely with audio specialists at DTS to maximize the sound quality of TONE Studio while the built-in Hi-Fi DAC recreates audio content to deliver sound that is incredibly close to the original source material. And with Dual Play, two TONE Studio users can connect to the same sound source to share in the fun”. LG has not revealed the price and exact launch date of the headset across global markets yet.
