Rumoured HTC U12+ specifications leaked

15 March 2018 3

The smartphone market has become extremely saturated, with a few manufacturers calling the shots. It’s time companies like HTC upped its game and it seems like the company is about to do just that. The company hasn’t been enjoying much luck and after its launch of the HTC U11 and U11+, there hasn’t been anything to rave about. In fact, MWC 2018 could have been a perfect platform for the company to announce its upcoming HTC U12 smartphone. The company didn’t do so and now more news has surfaced regarding another speculated device, the HTC U12+ (codename Imagine). The source for this leak comes as a tweet, stating the features of the HTC U12+.

Just like the previous generation of smartphones by HTC, the U12 will have a bigger brother, the U12+. The HTC U12+ has been described as a device which will compete with the flagship phones of 2018. Rumour has it that the U12+ will sport a 6-inch screen with a WQHD+ resolution. The innards of the device will possibly consist of a Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The device will also support expandable storage via the microSD card and will feature a 3420mAh battery.

The dual-rear 16MP+12MP cameras are definitely one of the highlights of this device in addition to its 8MP selfie cameras. Supposedly, the development of the HTC U12+ has been pushed back by a while and we may see this device surfacing much later than expected. The company is pretty busy with other devices as well, like its Breeze and Breeze+ smartphones which will presumably make it to the market as the HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+.

The HTC U12 Plus isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
