A couple days ago, Lenovo officially announced the company’s new pocket-friendly smartphone, the Lenovo S5. The device was launched in China yesterday and made available via Jingdong (JD.com), starting at 999 Yuan (roughly $158). The device, in a single day, has crossed over 300,000 registrations and indeed exceeded the expectations of the company.
For the past couple weeks, the Chinese smartphone market has been flooding with devices such as the Redmi Note 5, Huawei Nova 3e, Meizu E3, Lenovo S5, and more. However, the Lenovo S5 seems to be clearly outpacing its opponents with such huge numbers on the board. Although registrations don’t, in fact, mean the exact sales of the device, the Lenovo S5 seems a great competition to the popular Redmi Note 5. Let’s take a look at the specifications of the device.

Rear cameras is a dual camera setup and the front camera is also healthy at 16MP.
$158 is a starting price. And even if you want a better variant, you will still get it for less than $200.
The phone in the budget category looks quite promising, especially at the value it offers.
Actually, it's offering more than what it's charging for. For $158 you will hardly get such lovely specs sheet to look at.
