Huawei seems to be on a roll when it comes to launching new smartphones. The Huawei P20, and P20 Pro are monumental smartphones and now the company has announced the Y7 Prime (2018). This is an updated version of the previous generation Y7 Prime. The Y7 Prime (2018) bears the same 18:9 aspect ratio with 5.99-inch, just like that of the Huawei Y9 2018 which was launched earlier this year. The Huawei Y7 Prime (2018) sports a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels.
The device is a budget-oriented smartphone and is equipped with a Snapdragon 430 SoC. Along with this, the device has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Huawei Y7 Prime (2018) supports dual-SIM and storage expansion via microSD card. However, the second SIM slot is a hybrid SIM slot supporting either a second SIM or microSD card. The device comes out of the box with Android Oreo and is using the company’s themed version of Android, EMUI 8.0.
The back panel has a fingerprint scanner and a dual rear-facing camera of 13MP+2MP. The front-facing selfie shooter is 8MP and supports facial recognition. The device has a 3,000mAh battery and is available in three colour variants, including Black, Blue, and Gold. There are no details with regards to pricing and the phone may be released soon in specific regions like India and China.
